Every time I go to Paris, I tell myself I’m going to spend most of my time in the flea markets. And I do! You know I could dig through old papers and vintage treasures for days on end. 

But the funny thing is… Paris always has other plans 😂🙈

I walked into a local boutique a few days ago that was all decorated for the holidays and couldn’t help but let out a little sigh and think, “Remember when that’s how we ALL shopped?”

It’s so easy to talk ourselves out of something before we even begin, isn’t it? A new idea, a business dream, a trip that feels a little too “big”.

As I thought about how many faces have come through our doors this month, I was reminded that these are the moments I dreamed of when we designed this house! I imagined our space being used for connection, laughter, and creativity. It’s why we were so intentional with how we built (and styled) it. Not to make it perfect, but to make it open.

I was set on stone floors… then I found old fencing milled into planks. Now Connor’s office feels warm, moody, and full of story.

What’s the most unexpected material you’d use in your home?

This cabinet doesn’t “match” the rest of the room.

And that’s exactly why I love it.

In our kitchen, there are two arched openings that lead into the pantry, one on each side. From the beginning, I dreamed of having matching cabinets tucked inside those arches—something special, something with character. Of course, finding two antique cabinets that matched perfectly? Nearly impossible. So I figured we’d design them.
