IN THE STUDIO
World-class artists, designers, and musicians—many of them from right here—are creating things that would wow anyone, anywhere.
My latest blog started as a reflection while I was driving from Birmingham to Florence… and basically turned into a love letter to the version of Alabama most people never see (or expect).
In this creative, beginner-friendly class, we’ll transform simple materials into a one-of-a-kind journal that reflects your (or their) personal style. You’ll learn stitching techniques, how to fold and bind your pages, and tips for choosing materials you may already have on hand.
I couldn’t believe the stellar lineup of speakers I had the honor of being in the room with…people like Windy Chien (artist and author of The Year of Knots), The Kitchen Sisters (renowned NPR documentarians), and many many more.
Plus, being around Alabama Chanin’s insane talent ALWAYS inspires me in meaningful ways.
Custom journals are not that. I use them for grocery lists, weekly sketches, writing dreams, and so much more.
And again…imagine being able to create a unique, one-of-a-kind journal to gift to someone you love! So special!
So many people have asked me about how I make these that I decided to create a brand new LIVE journal making class called The Art of Bookbinding.
Giving things away is one of my favorite things to do. And no, I’m not tooting my own horn by saying that, I just genuinely love sharing things that inspire with the world! Think of it as a party favor for coming along on the journey throughout the years!
Annnnd, January is like a double-whammy fresh start for me, because my birthday is this month! 🥳
→ Whether you have 5 minutes or 5 seconds, I’m going to be sending you quick, fun, and on-trend ideas to spark inspiration in your everyday life (home design, vintage shopping, creative expression – the works)!

Hi, it’s me Lucy, and I’m here to remind you in simple fashion that you do NOT have to overthink the perfect Christmas gifts for anyone on your list ✨
Trust me – I know it’s tempting to think something’s not “good enough”...or to kick yourself for not grabbing that item you saw back in July that would be perfect for your Mother-in-law.
Meeting incredible people and makers like Derek made the experience of Round Top that much more special. So many people fail to realize that almost ALL small businesses are built from a dream…and many are created with a great purpose in mind. Going to places like Round Top is about so much more than finding unique items - it’s about supporting the individuals who bring them to life.
My adventure in Round Top this Spring was so inspiring! I am so excited to share that I’m hosting my own Shopping Retreat this fall!

Every month, I find myself collecting little moments, ideas, and pieces of beauty that spark something new. Some come from my sketchbook, some from my home, some from travels… and some just from paying a little more attention to the everyday.
This is a small gathering of what's inspiring me right now.
