Look What I Found In Paris
I’ve been posting a lot on Instagram about my swoon-worthy trip to Paris last year.
Naturally, I’ve been dreaming about going back (it’s happening in September! yay!)…and as I continue the journey of decorating my new house (with old things, of course), I realized I never shared with you about the incredible treasures I found on my last trip there!
A friend actually asked me the other day what my favorite things I found at the vintage shops and flea markets in Paris were, and while it was so hard to narrow it down, HERE THEY ARE!
Vintage frames of all shapes and sizes because truly, can you ever have too many frames? No. The answer is definitely no. I can’t wait to sprinkle these throughout my home on various gallery walls and on built-in shelves! Which one is your favorite?
Copper pots that, candidly speaking, I’m obsessed with! My eyes are so happy every time I see them in my kitchen…and I mean, how often do you say that about pots? 😂 They’re just so beautiful! Current personal project = getting a rail to hang them on so I can stare at their beauty all day long forever and ever.
Vintage French oil paintings that are bursting with colors…I die! Gorgeous, I say. Simply gorgeous…with just the right touch of moody. I haven’t styled these in my home quite yet…stay tuned to find out where I hang them!
Vintage French books are going to make the shelves in my office, my coffee table, and all kinds of other surfaces in my home absolutely POP OFF! I can’t wait to see guests flip through their pages and be immersed in the magic of French culture.
An artist’s vintage sketchbook is probably the most endearing thing I’ve found. I’ve caught myself daydreaming about who the person was who created these sketches…what is their story? Are they still alive? What an honor to have their beautiful work in my hands and in my home. Another item I’m not quite sure where I’ll place yet – but I know it’s going to be amazing! I also think it would be so neat to frame and gift some of these stunning sketches to loved ones. Talk about inspiration! ✨
At this point, I think I’m meant to be a Parisian 🤗💫 (PS: did you know that’s where I had my first job in retail/purchasing)?
The best part about all of these treasures is how insanely affordable they were…most of it was around $50! Cah-razy.
Comment on this post to tell me – which of these treasures is your favorite? What would you search for if you could explore a flea market in Paris?
