Last week, someone in passing said “Can you believe it’s already the 8th day of the month!?”
I thought to myself – “Umm, no way that can be! It’s still the day after New Year's! 🤣”
Needless to say, time already seems to be flying by…but do you know what I plan to do this year? Make the most of it 💛
And speaking of making the most of things, I’m so excited to share a little REFRESH with you on my weekly emails, now lovingly deemed Letters from Lucy 💌.

Did you know my last name is Farmer? 🥰 Well, it is…and here’s what else you should know (if you haven’t picked up on it yet): I spend a lot of time sourcing unique, vintage, and antique items from across the world (like Round Top and Paris). My collection runs deep, and in 2025 I am going to be offering these goodies for SALE every week!
→ HOW TO SHOP: I’ll be posting items for sale on INSTAGRAM, along with tips and ideas (and photos) for how to style /add them to your space in creative ways. Don’t worry, I’ll update you each week here in email form, as well!
✍️WEEKLY SKETCH
This miiiiight just be the thing I’m most excited about in 2025…and I would be *over the moon* if you joined in! I’m doing a “weekly sketch” challenge with Helen Stark on Substack every week throughout this year. Combining journaling with drawing? Yes, please! I know this might be out of your comfort zone – but remember, this isn’t for anyone else to see if you don’t want them to! But stretching your mind creatively on paper will do wonders for your soul – plus it’s really fun to put your mind on paper.
Just imagine how fun it will be to flip through these at the end of the year. I love to see progress and not to mention how special this will be for our children and grandchildren to look at one day! If nothing else, maybe that can be your motivation?

📖READING
Real talk: I am always reading something…or multiple things if I’m being honest. In fact, a friend once shared a memory she had with me of staying in a hotel room together and giggling when I pulled out an entire STACK of books from my luggage. I am who I am, okay!? 😂
Anyway, I LOVE seeing what other people are reading, so I thought I’d share with you this year. Let me know if you end up reading any of the same books as me!
👗WEARING
Some days, I’m dressed to the nines for a special event. Other (most) days, I’m dressed in comfortable, casual, but still chic and unique outfits that are fun and functional! I mentioned to someone a few months ago that I love to get dressed and she didn’t know that was a thing. I didn’t know it wasn’t a thing! I’ve always loved putting clothes together for an outfit. special occasion or not! And as you can imagine, accessories are my favorite thing about getting ready each day.
By no means is this me establishing myself as a fashion influencer – but I do get questions a lot about where things I’m wearing or from, so it’s time to share the wealth!

The truth is, I am almost always on the hunt for something – whether it’s the perfect notebook for my sketches or the best pen for writing. I’ll let you know what I’m on the hunt for!
